St. Joseph's Parish

High School

Religious Education should take us from birth to death.  It begins at home with prayer and passing on our faith.  Parents are their first and  primary teachers. It continues into our adulthood in taking advantage of Scripture study and other offerings throughout the year.  Religious Education is something we do our entire lifetime, not just as children.  Our formal Religious Education program begins at Kindergarten and takes the student through Confirmation.  Preschool classes are held during the Sunday Masses, during the liturgy of the word for six weeks in the fall and six weeks in the winter.

After Confirmation the student is expected to take an adult role in our parish.  They have the opportunity to lector, teach Sunday school, and help with Vacation Bible School, etc.  There are many ways to use the gifts the Holy Spirit has given them and strengthened during their Confirmation journey.  Please encourage your young adults to get involved in their Church and faith. Maybe you will find your gift to share also.
